So I finally went last month, two weeks in Paris with my sister and her kids (7 and 10 years old). I'd done a lot of research beforehand, typed "best parks in Paris" into every search engine imaginable, read dozens of blog posts... and honestly the reality was a bit different from what I expected.
Parc des Buttes-Chaumont keeps showing up everywhere online and yeah, it's genuinely worth it. The terrain is hilly, there's real space to run around, and it doesn't feel as overwhelmingly touristy as the Luxembourg gardens (which were gorgeous but absolutely packed on a Wednesday afternoon, no joke).
The one that surprised me the most though was Bois de Boulogne, specifically the Jardin d'Acclimatation side. The kids were obsessed for like three hours straight.
If you're planning a trip and wondering which of the best parks in Paris actually hold up with children, those two are my honest picks. Anyone been recently with similar aged kids? Curious if things get worse in summer.
